Those of you who have met me, whether in person or online, know that I am mad about sport!
My parents met playing tennis.
My hubbie and I met skiing.
My grown up kids love nothing better than thrashing each other on the tennis or padel court or ski-ing down black runs.
I trained as an NLP Sports Practitioner shortly after training as a Master Practitioner and NLP Trainer as I wanted to be able to apply it to my sport. At that time I was playing hockey for Maidenhead mixed and ladies teams, windsurfing and doing aerobics in those funny wooly legwarmers. I wasn't playing so much tennis then as I enjoyed team games but took it up again when we had children as we could park the buggy in the corner of the court and get a sneaky game in while baby napped.
How we approach our sport is much the same way as we approach our life. It's very much an NLP thing that how we do one thing is a pattern for how we do other things. I love this. Allow me to digress a bit.
How do you stack the dishwasher? How does your partner stack the dishwasher?

I have to admit that I am an optimist and cram it full in bit of a slapdash way shoving things between other things in the the hope that all will be well.
Then............
Hubbie turns up when I have gone to bed and reorganises it because he believes everything has a place and needs space. I get tell he's done this when I unpack it if I'm up first!
My point?
Well what if how your teen approaches their sport, their mindset, is how they approach friendships, schoolwork and so on?
So if we can encourage them to learn more about this mindset and improve it by knowing what works best, could this lead to them also having a more confident and resilient mindset elsewhere in their life?

You can buy the paperback here on my website or on Amazon and of course it's available as an EBook Kindle etc.
If you'd like to book a session to help your teen with mindset then you can do that here
I really hope they enjoy the book. Maybe you will too, either for supporting them or for help with your own sport. Please share it with any sports teachers or coaches working with young people as I'm sure they will find it interesting and as with any of my books, I'd be super grateful if you would post a review on Amazon.
Thanks and I hope you're enjoying the sunshine!
