Short courses for kids and teens
Sometimes parents tell me that their child needs a more structured more talking based approach to help them in a more general way rather than working on a specific issue.
The courses I run can be delivered in person or on zoom and run over four one hour sessions. They get to keep their booklet of course and can refer to it if and when they need. Some like to share it with a parent or teacher.
The content is like a Junior NLP (neuro linguistic programming) course where they learn how they process their world and how to apply this to help them learn, make friends, and generally be happier - these are VAK - visual, auditory, kinaesthetic.
The Metaprogrammes - detail/global, match/mismatch, towards/away from etc. and how they can move along this continuum to get a better result in a situation. We act these out or use story cubes to apply these in their own life.
They learn the NLP Presuppositions covering how being flexible gives you more options, how repeating the same pattern gets you nowhere (unless it's a good pattern of course, in which case we can apply it elsewhere), how to look for the positive intention behind every behaviour and so on.
They learn how to achieve a compelling outcome in their life by applying their skills and qualities to enhance their confidence and build resilience for those who would put them down.

Get in touch to chat about which course you will find most useful for your child or teen.
Courses tend to be based on the Engaging NLP & EFT Workbooks and they get a free copy of the workbook to keep as well as their own notes.
Rest assured, if something comes up during their session with me, I will take the opportunity to cover this if I have permission from you to do so.
Other courses are more play and art focused with an underlying intention to explore possible issues with children who are resistant to 'learning' anything. For example the Lego course enables me to explore aspects like friendship, trust , fear of failure whilst making a lego model of it and then a model of the opposite.
As a qualified NLP Sports' Practitioner, one of the courses is based on Sports Mindset but of course what they learn is applicable everywhere in life.

Using Lego, children express what is hard to verbalise using materials that feel playful and familiar.
There are no figures in the Lego Serious Play that I use because by representing their emotions onto coloured bricks and odd bits and bobs they are projecting their own thoughts and feelings in a safe way.
As a Reiki Master, I know what the colours could mean but I always ask the child because for them, the colour might mean something quite different. It's easier for them to tell me what the colour of a brick means than tell me their emotion.

ART COURSE
Children draw all the time, don't they? It's relaxing, easy and playful. Even teens like to doodle and create images for fun.
For those who need to talk to someone but fear being asked difficult questions, art and collage represent a way for them to project their feelings onto paper or board in a non-threatening way.
Sometimes they may simply be reflecting feelings they currently have or it may be how they'd like to feel. Maybe they are moving into secondary school and may reflect feelings of sadness around missing friends they've been with since Reception and feelings of anxiety about making friends in the new school.
