Journaling journey for adults or kids
For deep emotional or physical pain that is hard to speak about
Service Description
It can be hard to talk about emotions, we fear no-one will understand, we won't find the words, we will become overwhelmed and cry, become out of control. When words fail, instead we can turn to art, drawing, painting, expressing our feelings in an abandoned uncontrolled way. They are not actual pictures, they are expressions of emotions. We might want to write in a journal, recording every day how we feel. We might want to shout the words onto the pages, swear, sob. Whatever you have inside you needs to be released. I can help you with this. I've had clients who I meet on zoom every week and they show me what they've drawn or painted, read what they've written. It's all healing. Why? Because emotions don't come from the logical left brain where we store words and explanations of how we feel. They come from the more powerful right brain which favours colour and image. It favours words with no meaning other than that they come from a place of hurt, that child self who feels abandoned, unloved, not good enough.
