"To summarise, in this chapter we looked at your self-esteem, how it manifests itself and how it can change according to your environment. We considered where it had come from and invited you to think about whether now might be a good time to change some of the beliefs you have about yourself in this respect. You also did an exercise where you put yourself in someone else’s shoes and looked at yourself and yourself from a disassociated position and considered how others might see you. This is a good thing to do on a regular basis because we can be inclined to associate too much, just think about how we see ourselves and how we see the world but there are other people in it! The map is not the territory as we say in NLP. The ability to step outside ourself and look objectively at what we do and how we do it is a big step along the way towards improving our self-esteem."
