Perhaps you, like me, have quite a few presents to return because someone already has that book, or they don't like that top or the pillowcases that go with the duvet cover you've bought are out of stock (for goodness sake Joules, put pillowcases in with the cover) so all is not quite over yet.
I'm sleeping now. No longer am I tossing and turning as I worry about what I have to do the next day. Sleep is so important as it gives the body time to recover and take stock. I like to feel it is doing a bit of an MOT during the night, just checking that everything is working during that time when you don't need it to.
After the meditation I find my breathing has become very relaxed and I soon drift off to sleep waking up only when I'm ready at about 8am. Of course, once school goes back we will have to put the alarm on and I really hate being woken up before I'm ready so these days now over the holidays, I revel in waking up naturally.
So celebrate the #festivalofsleep on January 3rd by having the best sleep ever and make it a habit when you don't need to get up for work or school to get as much sleep as you can because your body needs it.
